Procurement Specialist

Your new organisation This WA State Government organisation has a strong focus on developing an optimum stakeholder and customer experience, and to ensure high levels of integrity and enhance quality and sustainability within the sector. They currently have an opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your new role

Reporting to the Procurement Team Leader, this role works with all business units to deliver compliant, effective, and sustainable procurement solutions. Duties and responsibilities include:

- Ensure compliance with the organisations procurement policy as well as legislation
- Lead requests for quote, tender and expressions of interest
- Source suppliers and respond to clarifications during the request process
- Provide advice to internal stakeholders for compliant and best practice procurement process
- Assist with audit documentation and reporting

What you’ll need to succeed
- Thorough understanding of procurement processes and policies
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Problem solving and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in a similar role in an organisation undergoing transformational changes will be highly regarded
