**The Opportunity**:
The Primary purpose of this position will be to undertake a primary Health & Safety (HS) role and secondary Environment, Quality & Sustainability (EQS) role supporting and monitoring operational compliance with HSEQS legislation, regulations, contractual obligations and John Holland policies standards, procedures & plans.
This role will assist the General Manager In the Infrastructure HSEQ and other specialist HSEQ discipline and project leads to provide operational HSEQS support across the Infarastructure business unit.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide operational HSEQS guidance, diligence, consistency, and discipline to business leaders to drive a culture of best practice.
- Provide specialist HSEQS advice and input to specialist business units during tendering, project planning and project delivery.
- Analyse data and information to support the continuous improvement of the John Holland HSEQS management System (HSEQS MS)
- Mentor and support the development of project HSEQS personnel in leading HSEQS practices and driving improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain regular visibility across the workplace, building relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Manage the development of Project HSEQS Support staff.
- Support the overall effectiveness of workplace operational safety risk processes and management.
- Build and maintain relationships with workplace specific internal and external stakeholders through effective stakeholder management strategies, ongoing engagement, collaboration, and consultation.Support the overall effectiveness of workplace operational safety risk processes and management.
- Develop high level project systems, e.g. HSEQS management plans, emergency response plan etc.
- Develop, Implement, coordinate, and monitor the effectiveness of a HSEQS Training Management plan.
- Mentoring projects teams, support, and subcontractors.
**You Will Need**:
- A bachelor’s degree in science or applied science majoring in either work health & safety, environment, sustainability, or quality or other associated disciplines.
- Construction HSEQS Management (5+ years).
- Generalist HSE management (8+ years).
- Specialist HSEQS Management (3+ years).
- Team management experience.
- Ability to travel Nationally.
