**About the role**
The Warship Asset Management Alliance (WAMA) partners; Babcock, BAE, SAAB and the Commonwealth of Australia (CoA) are engaged to ensure the ongoing capability and seaworthiness of the ANZAC frigates through a series of maintenance activities and upgrade projects.
In addition, you manage risk activities on programmes in complex situations and are seen as an expert in the cost specialism and may be called on by others to provide advice.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Coordinate key Alliance stakeholder input to identify, communicate, measure, report and guide the successful collation of risk management programs and projects through the provision of strategic and operational support;
- Develop plans, procedures, systems while working with key stakeholders to bring together participant risk data for review and reporting purposes;
- Functionally align and integrate the practices and processes carried out within the WAMA Alliance Industry Partners (AIPs’) and develop a best-practice approach to support WAMA Alliance operations;
- Coordinate the successful delivery of programs and projects through the provision of strategic and operational risk management support, including risk identification, classification, assessment and to support stakeholders to appropriately treat risks to As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP);
- Establish and maintain governance arrangements for Risk Management process through the project lifecycle; and
- Provide training material and support to all stakeholders involved in Risk Management.
**About you**
**Essential**:
- A bachelor's degree in with in Risk Management, Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management or Business or another related discipline; OR
- Significant demonstrable relevant experience of 10 years in direct Risk Management roles and a further 10 years in project or business management roles;
- A postgraduate qualification is also desirable;
- Extensive 10 years recent and relevant experience in a similar environment Risk Management; and
- Extensive risk and opportunity management experience within an Engineering & Project Execution Organisation, specifically within the defence, or resources industries, leading the risk management function in complex major capital projects.
**Desirable**:
- AIPM Accreditation Mandatory (or agreement to attain in 12 months). Experienced and proficient in SAP & MILIS.
**Essential Compliance Requirements**:
- Must either hold, or be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance at AGSVA Negative Vetting - NV1;
- Current Motor Vehicle Driver’s Licence;
- Construction Induction Card (White Card); and
- No restrictions to access For Official Use Only (FOUO) level or ITAR controlled material.
