**The Role**
Transition Coaching and Support is seeking a Transition Regional Lead at the APS 6 level based in Brisbane, QLD. This position oversees services across multiple Defence bases in the Queensland Region and will be responsible for leading a team of APS, ADF and contracted staff to provide transition and career coaching services to transitioning ADF members and their families.
The Transition Coaching and Support Regional Lead also oversees the delivery of the needs-based Defence Force Transition Program. Responsibilities include leading and managing staff conducting transition coaching sessions inclusive of complex cases. Liaison with key stakeholders including Command, ADF members and families is a key role of the position.
The Team Lead will work collaboratively with program stakeholders gathering, analyzing and delivering accurate information on the program’s performance. Quality Assurance of service delivery will be undertaken through regular case review mechanisms and adherence to National Standard Operating Procedures including accurate and timely record keeping.
As part of this role, the Team Lead will also be responsible for preparing high level reports for Service Chiefs and Department heads. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Transition Coaching and Support - Operations.
**About our Team**
Defence Member and Family Support (DMFS) Transition Coaching and Support (TCS) delivers Defence’s Transition programs. These programs are designed to support members and their families plan for civilian life. Participation in the transition process is mandatory for all ADF members regardless of the reason for leaving.
The Defence Force Transition Program provides access to specialist advice, paid leave and training to support members and their families in their transition to civilian life. Access to the needs based programs is supported by a transition coach.
- Demonstrated strong leadership and management skills in order to assure the team delivers high quality transition coaching services
- A proven ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally, both in person and using digital platforms and
- The ability to coordinate and undertake extensive broad ranging stakeholder engagement
- A knowledge of the veterans and an understanding of the challenges veterans face when transitioning from Defence into civilian life
