The Project Officer role will see you manage the development of a coastal management program for the Tweed Coast in accordance with legislation and guidelines.
**About the role**:
- engages and consults with stakeholders to ensure that the coastal management program achieves integrated management across the coastal zone
- access and administer external grants and other sources of funding to undertake coastal management projects
- community consultation and facilitation of groups is fundamental to achieving the position objectives
- interacts with all council divisions at all levels, the general public, consultants, interest groups, and public authorities

- a base salary ranging from $88,141 per annum with competency-based increments up to $101,440 per annum, plus 10.5% super
- 35 hour week, 9 day fortnight

**We are seeking**:
- minimum degree level qualifications in an appropriate discipline such as Coastal Management, Coastal/Environmental Engineering
- experience in a similar role
- project management, including supervising consultants
- grant management experience.

5. Demonstrated very high level written and verbal communication skills including technical and general report writing and presentations, suited to a range of audience types.
6. Demonstrated well developed competence in grant management.
