**About the Role**
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Payroll and Billing Administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role sits at the heart of our operations - managing the payroll and invoicing function for our contractor workforce across Australia and New Zealand.
You’ll ensure payments go out on time, invoices are accurate, compliance obligations are met, and our systems and processes evolve alongside client needs. This role involves hands-on processing, problem-solving, and collaborating with finance, technology, and account management teams.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Deliver end-to-end payroll and billing operations with accuracy and timeliness, including data entry, disbursements, checks, and reconciliations, ensuring all are completed on time
- Set up and maintain accurate employee and client records, including onboarding, offboarding, and pay changes
- Administer payroll-related activities such as salary sacrifice, leave entitlements, terminations, and redundancies
- Prepare regular payroll reports and assist with internal and external audits
- Provide timely, professional responses to payroll and invoicing queries, delivering a high level of customer service
- Work closely with the finance team to reconcile payroll, invoicing, debtors, FBT, tax, and superannuation
- Handle general administrative tasks to support smooth payroll and billing operations
- Stay updated on payroll legislation, award conditions, and internal policies to support compliance
- Carry out additional duties as directed by the Head of Operations or Leadership Team
**What We’re Looking For**
- 1 to 4 years of experience in payroll, invoicing or related roles
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with payroll software a plus
- Clear communication skills and a professional, confidential approach
- Ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new systems and grow within a payroll-focused role
