**About the role
As a Payroll Officer at Wesfarmers Health, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and timely payment of wages and salaries in compliance with legislative requirements, policies, and procedures. You will also provide high-level customer service to management and employees on matters related to employment conditions. Your role will involve coordinating various payroll activities, responding to payroll-related queries, and ensuring the highest levels of quality and compliance.

**The responsibilities for this role include:
- Perform end-to-end payroll processing, including timesheets, salary variations, allowances, deductions, terminations, and leave.
- Process payments according to employment contracts, Awards, and Legislation.
- Handle Work Cover payments and process third-party deductions (e.g., Child support, garnishee, etc.).
- Process bonus payments and salary increases as directed.
- Conduct payroll data checks and prepare audit checks.
- Reconcile and transmit EFT files, distribute Payslips.
- Handle off-cycle payments as needed.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and handle administrative tasks related to payroll.
- Respond to employee queries regarding payroll matters.
- Provide periodic management and finance reports.
- Generate ad hoc reports as requested.
- Ensure data integrity and maintain employee records across IT systems.
- Manage overpayment administration, including calculations, recovery, and YTD adjustments.

- Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in end-to-end payroll.
- Experience processing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls.
- Experience with salaried and award / EA payrolls.
- Experience in a fast paced, high-volume environment, preferably retail.
- Experience using multiple Payroll, HRIS and T&A systems (e.g., Affinity Payroll, SAP, Success Factors, Kronos)
