**Your New Role**
The Workforce Planning Lead adopts a proactive and forward-thinking approach in capturing workforce data that is used to shape and refine enterprise workforce strategies that address Aware's business demands, while anticipating and building for strategic objectives and future needs. By developing, implementing, and optimising these strategies, the Lead ensures that Aware remains agile and well-prepared for upcoming challenges and opportunities, ultimately supporting Aware's long-term success and growth. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategy and Planning, you will work closely with the People Practices and Delivery Squads to ensure that Aware is well-equipped to meet current and future talent needs, fostering a dynamic and responsive workforce.
In addition, you will:
- Collect and analyse internal and external workforce data to identify trends to understand skill gaps between current workforce capabilities and future talent needs;
- Support the development of strategic workforce plans that address skill gaps and considers mobility of internal talent, ensuring Aware has the right talent in the right place to meet our strategic objectives;
- Lead the selection, implementation, and optimisation of workforce planning tools and software that enhance workforce forecasting and scenario modelling;
- Lead the continuous improvement of practices, processes, and strategies that support the objectives of the Workforce Planning Strategy;
- Develop, own and continuously optimize the workforce planning framework and model Forecast short
- and long-term workforce needs based on scenario planning and partnering with talent acquisition, capability and growth and operational teams; and
- Partner with finance to forecast workforce costs and headcount requirements based on business growth projection.

- Have strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret data and make informed decisions regarding workforce planning and forecasting;
- Proven experience using workforce planning tools and software, as well as emerging technologies like AI and automation, and their implications for workforce needs;
- Track record in developing and modelling different workforce scenarios based on changing business;
- Experience working with various teams, including recruitment, finance, OD and Capability, and operational teams, to forecast talent needs and costs;
- Proven ability to lead workshops and forums to engage stakeholders and drive workforce planning initiatives; and
- You are balanced in accepting risk in any decision you face. You are curious to understand risk context and choose to speak up as we simplify, learn and grow.
