Overview:
Gallagher Bassett (GB) is Australia and New Zealand’s premier third party claims administrator. We manage claims on behalf of insurers, brokers, government bodies and self-insured organisations. We are part of the leading global risk management and insurance group Arthur J Gallagher & Co.

Reporting to the Performance and Insights Manager, you will support the newly-created Nominal Insurer (NSW Workers Compensation function in the development of workforce planning frameworks, processes, initiatives and continuous improvement. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your existing experience to a new and exciting challenge, and play a pivotal role in the performance of our function and success of our service offerings to our clients.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead and own workforce planning initiatives across operational stakeholder groups;
- Collect average handle times for claims management activities, and develop workforce plans;
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and make recommendations for workforce distribution in accordance with operational requirements;
- Coach and mentor staff in the development of analytical skills and the use of job aids to maximise performance;
- Drive the continuous improvement of workforce reporting for the claims operations;
- Identify trends and themes and communicate actionable insights to the business;
- Coach and support claims management personnel to reach optimal performance outcomes and compliance measures;
- Participate in broader key business projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a workforce planning role within an insurance or financial services industry setting;
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining workforce plans;
- Strong analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail;
- Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to engage and articulate at all levels of organisation;
- Proven ability to manage and influence various stakeholders;
- Proven ability working with excel and drawing insights from data within excel would be highly regarded;
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite;
- A strategic mindset and approach to work;
- A strong sense of team and collaboration;
- A resilient attitude.
