As a Business Development Advisor, your days will be filled with engaging with local businesses, developing and implementing programs to foster economic growth, and promoting Melville as a vibrant tourism and eco-tourism destination. You'll provide specialist advice, manage stakeholder relationships, and facilitate responsive business initiatives. You'll also support place management activities, participate in cross-functional projects, and ensure effective communication and reporting to drive sustainable outcomes.

**To be successful in this role, you will possess**:
**Essential**
- Tertiary qualification in Business Management, Commerce, Economic Development, Community Engagement/Development or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to lead and influence stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes efficiently and within set timelines.
- Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining relevant reports, correspondence, policies, strategies, and procedures.
- Ability to identify and address the specific needs of small businesses in their interactions with local government, tailoring improvement initiatives as needed.
- Basic knowledge of local government approval processes and regulatory frameworks.
