**About the team**

The Infrastructure and Place (IP) division is in the process of delivering an ambitious multi-billion dollar program of public infrastructure works which will ease congestion, improve safety, create new places and connect communities for generations to come.

The **Digital Systems Program (DSP)** is a diverse, dynamic, highly skilled and dedicated team that is delivering a once in a generation change to the rail network.

**The opportunity**

The Digital Systems Program (DSP) are currently looking for 2x motivated and hands-on project professionals to join us as **Project Officers** within the “**Trackside Team”** under the DSP program.

Working with a supportive and outstanding team, you will play a vital role in delivering the Trackside Package of works for current and future deployment areas.

You will be primarily supporting the Project Manager in developing, implementing and tracking project management delivery plans with our contractors and delivery partners. You will assist with establishing project management methodologies in a safe and environmentally responsible manner which will result in the on time, on budget, to scope and safe delivery of infrastructure projects that comply with management systems, applicable standards, and legislation. You will be working on site in the rail corridor to track progress of the works and ensure the scope of works are delivered according to approved plans.

Working in this role your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinate reviews and approval of contractors’ site access documentation including working with Sydney Trains to ensure works notifications are in place
- Track project deliverables and liaising with Project Stakeholders and the Contractor to ensure deliverables are reviewed and updated in a timely manner
- Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to facilitate exchange of information
- Regular site inspections to ensure the works are undertaken to the required quality, within the required timeframes and according to the controls in the approved Safety, Environmental and Community Management Plans
- Working on site during night and weekend possessions to ensure the works are tracking against the program and reporting on the progress and issues that arise.
- Provide advice and input during the project lifecycle including tender, concept design, planning and approval, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Request and compile data and information to track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables
- Prepare and maintain project documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes

**About you**

To be successful in this role you are someone who is highly motivated about project management and delivery and willing to learn new skills. You have strong communication skills, can develop and maintain collaborative working relationships and can work autonomously.

Availability to work during track possessions during the weekend and overnight is essential. Overtime is provided. Personal vehicle required to travel to site

Qualifications (minimum cert IV) in Project Management or Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience is required.

Experience in planning and managing site works in the Rail Corridor as well Track possessions and familiarity with Sydney Trains Possessions Management is preferred

The salary for these positions is Transport Service Grade 7 ($108,
