About the Role
Macquarie University is seeking a Program Lead to manage and expand the_ _FIRST_ LEGO League (FLL) program across Australia. This role provides the opportunity to inspire the next generation of young minds to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through engaging and inclusive LEGO robotics programs.
The Program Lead will drive the delivery and expansion of _FIRST_ LEGO League programs, ensuring their impact reaches new schools and communities. You will lead professional development initiatives for educators and volunteers, oversee the implementation of LEGO Foundation Grant deliverables, and coordinate Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives within the program.
In this role, you will collaborate with schools, government bodies, corporate sponsors, and international _FIRST_ partners to foster meaningful engagement and strategic partnerships. Additionally, you will manage Robocamps, our school holiday program, generating revenue to support and expand_ FIRST’s _educational initiatives.

You are an experienced program manager and educator with a passion for STEM education and outreach. You thrive in collaborative environments, balancing strategic growth with hands-on program delivery. Your ability to build and maintain relationships with schools, community organisations, and industry partners will be critical in expanding the impact of the FLL program.

To Apply- A degree or qualification and equivalent experience in Education, Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a similar discipline.- Knowledge of how people learn and how to develop programs and activities to enhance and promote the learning experience.- Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate national-level programs and outreach initiatives.- Experience in STEM education, curriculum alignment, and training delivery for teachers and volunteers.- Demonstrated experience in grant management, including administration, tracking, and reporting.- Exceptional relationship management skills with the demonstrated ability to develop effective strategic and operational relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.- A passion for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives, with experience implementing programs that promote accessibility and engagement.- A proven ability to collaborate and operate effectively as part of a team.
Desired- Knowledge of the external market and context relevant to _FIRST_ Robotics.- Working knowledge of the _FIRST _LEGO League programs globally and in Australia.- Knowledge of both local and international pathways to Macquarie University Degrees.
Specific Requirements- This position requires domestic and international travel.- Occasional evening and weekend work is required to support events, outreach activities, and training programs.- A Working with Children Check is required.- A Criminal History Check is required.
Salary Package: HEW Level 7 from $108,391 - $117,519 p.a., plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading.
