As the International Programs Manager (Grants), you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and expanding our grants portfolio, including the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP) and other institutional funding streams. Reporting to the Director of International Programs, you will lead a dedicated team of skilled International Program Coordinators, driving impactful partnerships with local Christian organisations and managing projects with a strong focus on effective program cycle management (PCM) and best practice development.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Grants and Partnership Management: Ensure effective coordination of grant funded projects, partnering with local organizations across Africa, Asia, and the Pacific to meet project goals and achieve sustainable outcomes, while maintaining adherance to compliance and DFAT accreditation standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead a small team of International Program Coordinators, supporting their professional development and ensuring excellence in project implementation and compliance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage with stakeholders, represent BWA/TAI at relevant sector events, contribute to ongoing learning, and build networks that support our strategic vision.
- Strategy and business development: Identify and pursue new partnership and project opportunities in alignment with BWA/TAI’s priorities, securing resources to expand the reach and impact of our mission.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
**About You**
You are an experienced programs manager with a proven background in grants management and partnership coordination, ideally in the international development sector. You thrive on delivering results, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and are passionate about working with a mission-driven organization. You bring a collaborative approach to leadership, have a high attention to policy and detail, and an eye for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications: post-graduate degree in International Development, Social Change, International Studies, Political Science, Sociology, Anthropology, Human Geography or related discipline
- A minimum of 7 years international development experience
- Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating institutional grants (such as ANCP, AHP or other)
- Strong understanding of compliance issues and requirements in the international development sector specifically ACFID and DFAT accreditation
- Desired background in strategic sectors including climate and environment, GEDSI, humanitarian response, economic inclusion and livelihoods
