About the Role
As we transition our business towards the future and adapt to overcome continual challenges, this newly created Warehouse and Inventory Manager role will primarily focus on leading the team across all warehouse and inventory management operations.
A strong communicator passionate about achieving positive outcomes you will bring a demonstrated ability to lead continual improvement and initiatives that deliver operational excellence. You will work alongside your stakeholders and support them in their challenges with a solution mindset and ensure all aspects of the warehouse operation meet expectations and standards that align to the businesses strategic plan and objectives.
The permanent, full-time role is based onsite at AGL Macquarie in the Hunter Valley, NSW.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading a large team through day-to-day warehouse operations- Developing and delivering on strategic objectives that improve operational performance- Improving storage strategies that deliver and support optimal inventory holdings, availability, and safety- Developing and implementing strategies to manage and reduce inventory by 50% by 2033- Conduct readiness and transition programs to support Asset closure- Improving external and internal Delivery in full, on time performance- Increasing and maintaining employee engagement by 30%- Developing integration tactics that increase the Warehouse Value chain and provide success factors to maintenance execution- Building constructive partnerships with key stakeholders focusing on continuous improvement and courageous leadership- Champion the system and process improvements and increase technology user uptake
About You
You will have the ability to promote strong engagement and keep focus on the ongoing advancement of integration within the operations value chain and ensure the warehouse and inventory operations deliver high level service to our production and maintenance teams.
Your courageous and motivational leadership abilities, coupled with your technical experience and passion for success will see you succeed in this role.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Extensive experience in operational management and team leadership- Tertiary education in supply chain fields and Lean Six Sigma and/or Project Management qualifications are highly desirable- Proven technical capability and experience within supply chain roles- Strong experience in SAP or ERP systems and knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite- Knowledge of Works Management principles- Adaptable with the ability to assess and improve warehouse and inventory value chain- Experience in the delivery of high performance, safety, and service centric cultures- Demonstrated ability in change management- Ability to navigate volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous environments with resilience- Strong influencing and communication skills at all levels with the ability to exercise sound judgement in complex decision making- Sound experience in budgeting and costing
