Position Overview: Balluff Australia is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. The Warehouse Operative will play a crucial role in our daily operations by ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of incoming and outgoing inventory. This position requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receiving and Inspection:
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying their accuracy against purchase orders.
- Inspect and assess the quality of received goods, identifying any discrepancies or damages.
2. Inventory Management:
- Properly store and organize inventory in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inventory counts to ensure accuracy and report any discrepancies.
3. Order Picking and Packing:
- Prepare orders for shipment by picking products from inventory.
- Safely and securely package products for shipment, adhering to shipping guidelines.
4. Shipping and Receiving:
- Prepare shipping documents, including labels and packing slips.
- Coordinate outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
5. Quality Assurance:
- Participate in quality control procedures to maintain product quality standards.
- Report any quality issues or defects promptly to the relevant personnel.
6. Warehouse Maintenance:
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe, following all safety protocols.
- Perform regular equipment checks and report any maintenance needs.
7. Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to meet operational goals.
- Communicate any issues or concerns related to inventory or warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks (if required).
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and order processing.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 25kg) and stand for extended periods.
