**SUMMARY**

This position has full exposure to all aspects of our automotive business and has a direct impact on our high level of customer satisfaction. **RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The Mechanical Engineering Technician will assist Mechanics and other Technicians as required. Duties and responsibilities include:

- being responsible for dismantling and assembling new and modified Diesel pumps and injectors
- selecting tools and equipment for tasks
- estimating materials required, quantities, costs, time management and machine requirements
- calibrating pumps and injectors
- operating test equipment
- maintaining a clean and organised work area to high standards
- complying with ISO standards
- labour recovery
- customer satisfaction

**SKILLS REQUIRED**
- Relevant degree qualification or at least 3 years relevant work experience required
- some knowledge of Diesel fuel injection systems
- the ability to dismantle and assemble Diesel pumps and injectors
- the ability to calibrate pumps and injectors
- ability to operate test equipment
- ability to work unsupervised

**KEY ATTRIBUTES**

- hold a current Australian driver's license
- be mature, honest, and reliable
- fluent in reading and writing in English

Pay: $74,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
