Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

· Carry out maintenance repairs and modifications on Rail Mounted Gantry Cranes (RMG), Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes (RTG), Spreaders and other plant and equipment.

· Perform regular test, inspections and maintenance of cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment and collect test data for analysis.

· Rebuild, replace, or repair major equipment components, mechanical assemblies, and hydraulic control systems.

· Maintain and update records of work performed on equipment to track service history.

· Interpret technical drawings and identify appropriate tooling and techniques to implement modifications or repairs.

· Correct unsafe conditions and housekeeping problems in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.

· Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures.

· Perform estimates of material costs and quantities.

· Work closely with engineers and other team members to coordinate and complete projects.

· Respond to work requests in a timely manner as per assigned KPIs.

· Ensure strict compliance with company policy and procedures at all times.

· Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties.

Qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering Technicians must have the ability to read and understand electrical drawings (control circuits) as well as experience on PLC and inverters
  • Spreader experience will be an advantage
  • An engineering-related tertiary qualification will be highly regarded
  • Strong communication and English language proficiency skills (written and verbal)
  • A desire to learn and be trained for potential opportunities to work on international projects
  • Must be available to work shift patterns, overtime and travel to conduct works onsite as required
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and focus.
