Marketing & Events Officer required for a full-time, 6 week placement Opportunity to also WFH full-time.

**Your new role**:

Marketing
- Develop and create stand-out marketing solutions that drive tangible results in promoting the city to a range of diverse audiences.
- Manage the city's social media accounts (including Facebook and Instagram) in accordance with the City’s social media and brand guidelines.
- Administer, maintain and create content for the website as a destination marketing tool ensuring it is current, accurate and engaging.
- Ensure a consistently high quality of images, videos and written content across all channels to promote the city as a desirable place to visit, live, work and play.
- Prepare monthly e-newsletters and implement strategies to build the city's database.
- Contribute towards audience development and engagement through the use of various marketing platforms.
- Support the delivery of media releases and proactively liaise with media to promote, Destination activities, events and initiatives.

Events
- Coordinate and deliver on various Destination Marketing projects and events for the City’s destination brand.
- Ensure smooth planning and delivery of town centre events calendar.
- Support event partners in liaising with the City’s internal departments in order to deliver on health, building and other statutory requirements.
- Contribute to the creative planning and strategy for the City’s annual event calendar including Sponsorship.
- Assist the Senior Destination Marketing and Events Officer to coordinate the sponsorship program as required.
- Consider all foreseeable hazards and detail the controls used to eliminate or reduce the risk of those hazards in the context of events and activations.

**What you'll need to succeed**:

- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position.
- Must be able to WFH and use own laptop/computer.
- Must be collaborative and a team player, whilst also being able to work independently.
