Environmental Consultant

We are seeking an enthusiastic Environmental Consultant to become a part of our dynamic and diverse Hazardous Material and Contaminated Land Management team in Sydney. In this role, you will engage in fieldwork, data analysis, technical report writing, and ongoing learning with support from our experienced team members. **Responsibilities**:

- Undertake advanced asbestos inspections (INS) including air monitoring (AAM), sampling of asbestos containing materials; and asbestos clearances (CLR);
- Undertake asbestos compliance supervision during asbestos removal works;
- Undertake waste classification sampling (including but not limited to GSW, ENM, VENM, asbestos) and waste classification reporting.
- Preparing Environmental management plans (EMP) and remedial action plans.
- Undertake site Validation (VAL) works where required, including necessary field works (i.e. validation sampling and verification) and preparation of Validation reports;
- Prepare COCs and deliver samples to the laboratory according to the client agreed TAT;
- Preparing fee proposals and sampling design plans for contaminated land site investigations;
- Preparation of Preliminary Site Investigations (Phase I studies) and Detailed Site Contamination Investigations (Phase II studies)
- Assist in the investigation and preparation of contaminated land management reports
- Review and develop a working knowledge of current legislation, Codes of Practice relating to environmental management, occupational hygiene, occupational health and safety and development
- Undertaking Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) investigations for residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
- Assistance/management of occupational health, safety and environmental projects.
- Assisting/conducting Hazardous Material Building Register inspections and preparing associated reports

**About you**
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in occupational hygiene-preferred
- Open to overtime, weekend/public holiday, interstate work.
- Experience in identifying & monitoring asbestos - preferred
- Experience in technical report writing including Preliminary and Detailed Site Investigations, Environment Management Plans.
- Construction white card, Licensed Asbestos Assessor (LAA), First Aid or Removal accreditation - preferred
- Full Australian Driver licence & car, at least Temporary Resident - preferred
- Experience in Macbook Numbers, Dropbox, Xero, Microsoft Suite - preferred
- Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
