**About Spiritual Care**

Spiritual care is the provision of assessment, counselling, support and ritual in matters of a person’s beliefs, traditions, values and practices enabling the person to access their own spiritual resources. Spiritual Care is an integral part of the Allied Health Division at Austin Health.

**About the role**

We are seeking to employ someone to manage the operations of the Spiritual Care Department and /or the Clinical Education program. The Manager, Spiritual Care Manager and Clinical Educator will be responsible for the following:

- Management and leadership
- Quality Assurance
- Clinical Education, specifically Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
- Information management

**About you**

You have a passion for Spiritual Care in the health care sector, have signifcant experience as a practitioner and as a manager, and enjoy working in a team. You are dedicated to best practice clinical care and to leading innovation in spiritual care models of practice.

To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:

- Minimum of Bachelor degree level studies in Theology, Spiritual Care, Social Sciences or equivalent.
- At least 5 years’ experience in Spiritual Care in a healthcare setting.
- Eligibility for certified membership of Spiritual Care Australia.
- Accreditation as a CPE Clinical Pastoral Educator (as certified by ASACPEV Inc.).
- Management experience of a department, including human resource and financial management.
