CapabilityOne (C1) is Defence’s portfolio management and decision support tool. It comprises an ecosystem of user interfaces, reporting and business intelligence tools that enable users to manage, view and interrogate data relating to programs, projects and domains and a range of other Defence capabilities.

1. Work collaboratively with Portfolio Performance Management team and other Investment Portfolio Management Branch members to deliver CapabilityOne outcomes.

2. Develop and maintain professional, respectful and positive relationships with CapabilityOne users, product owners, and suppliers across Defence Groups.

3. Highly effective in managing multiple, concurrent activities, while understanding and managing priorities, dependencies and risk.

4. Contribute to a harmonious team environment that fosters innovation, creativity, and team collaboration to deliver project outcome.

5. Provide mentorship and guidance to other team members, APS and third parties as required.

**The Database Administrator will be accountable and responsible for**:
1. Services required to manage the CapabilityOne Microsoft SQL Server databases including:
a) Administration, monitoring, configuration, upgrade and install Microsoft SQL Server databases to support and

**CapabilityOne including delivery of service using**:
b) Performance of regular and CapabilityOne database backups, and ensure backups will support recovery needs;
c) Maintain the performance and availability of databases that store information for CapabilityOne;
d) Develop and maintain procedures and documentation for CapabilityOne database;
e) Design and implement changes to CapabilityOne databases to support new information requirements.

2. Provide advice, guidance and assistance and support to other team members, APS and third parties as required.

3. Evaluate and Develop Data Analysis models and procedures

4. Monitor and the ability to troubleshoot any Database Replication issues

**Mandatory Experience and Requirements**:

- Experience with Reporting Tools such as Cognos 11
- Experience of supplied personnel delivering outcomes consistent with service specific tasks and duties outlined in the Task Scope and Deliverables.
- ** At least 5 year’s recent experience as a Database Administrator**:

- Sound knowledge in SQL Server performance features such as In-Memory OLTP
- Experience in SSIS, SSRS
- Experience delivering these services within a Commonwealth Government environment
- Extensive database administrator experience developing documentation for development teams.

**Security Clearance(s) required**:
Specified personnel must hold and maintain a Negative Vetting 2 (NV2) or higher.
