**About our client**:
Our client provides competitive research funding to academics and research schemes at Australian universities. They play a key role in funding the highest quality research by assessing the quality, engagement, and impact of research.

**The role**:
As a Database Administrator. You will work within a small delivery team in providing data services as well as in supporting the development and new business analytics services. Engage with stakeholders and other members of the team to develop work packages using an adapted scrum methodology.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design strategies for enterprise databases, and data warehouse systems, set standards for database operations, and security, and create and optimize data models for warehouse infrastructure and workflow.
- You will plan, develop, configure, maintain and support our client’s Microsoft SQL Server database management systems based on user requirements ensuring optimal database integrity, security, back up, reliability, and performance.
- Must collaborate and provide advice to the ICT branch and business stakeholders in the design and implementation of new database-tier services.
- You will be involved in capacity planning and monitoring our client's SQL server environment.
- Must have a minimum of five years of Microsoft SQL Server development and Database administration skills.
- Strong experience in BI development tools is mandatory SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
- Demonstrated capability to scope, plan and execute projects.
- Expert-level troubleshooting and optimization skills are required.

**Highly Desired**:

- Experience in querying XML and JSON data.
- Experience working with source control, e.g., Subversion, TFS, VSS, Git, etc.
- Experience with Agile and/or Scrum projects.
- Experience using Visual Studio/SQL Server Data Tools.

**What’s on offer?**

An enticing daily rate from $900- $1100 per day inclusive of super, you will be engaged in a 12-month contract with a 12-month possible extension.
