One of Australia’s distinguished **Federal Government Departments** is looking to engage with a skilled and experienced **Database Administrator Expert **to midrange databases team in Canberra. You will be responsible for installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting. The successful **Database Administrator **will secure an **Initial contract until 31/05/24 + 24 month extension, rewarding pay rate and Hybrid Flexibility.**

The successful **Database Administrator Expert **will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Provide expert advice to technical specialists and stakeholders and seek their cooperation in the provision of database administration schedule
- Manage database software installations and upgrades
- Manage the data management process including initial loading, creating and maintaining,
- Implement corrective actions to improve performance and availability of databases design

The successful **Database Administrator Expert **will have experience in the following:

- Must have a minimum of 5 Years’ experience in one or more of the following Database: Db2 LUW, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle
- Must have 5 years’ experience in support Databases on one or more of the following Operating Systems: Red Hat, Windows, Solaris
- Experience in automating database processes using tools such as Ansible
- Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Shell
