**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The purpose of the Accounts and Payroll Officer role is to prepare, process, and distribute payroll for Prestige Inhome Care Direct Care Staff. This role assists with the preparation of general finance tasks and accounting tasks as directed by the Finance Manager.

Responsibilities include:

- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll
- Liaise with various stakeholders to ensure that all payroll is accurate and all queries are actioned.
- Respond to employee requests in a timely manner
- Ensure payroll system is maintained with correct cost centre codes, tax thresholders
- Maintain all employee data including new employees
- Calculation of wages accruals and overhead on costs
- Prepare and post end of month journals as required
- Bank account reconciliations
- prepare reports to assist with weekly and monthly analysis
- Provide support to the finance team as directed by the general manager of Finance
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting and with month end analysis and reporting

**ABOUT YOU**
- Minimum 2 years of prior experience in a similar or related role
- Strong written and oral skills
- Able to work methodically, accurately and nearly
- Sound organizational; and interpersonal skills
- Ability to show initiative and work with mínimal supervision
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Well presented and motivated
- Able to act with tact and discretion, maintaining privacy, and confidentiality
- Well developed self management abilities including time management and work practices
- Capacity to manage finances including risk minimisation, compliance and reporting requirements
- Tertiary education in accounting or commerce
