**About the role**

The Deputy Manager Allied Health Assistants (AHA) East will provide support and assistance to the Manager Allied Health Assistants with the coordination, leadership and management of the AHA workforce and services within the Allied Health Directorate at the Grampians Health Ballarat campus.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assisting in the monitoring and allocation of resources (including humanresources) for the AHAs at the Ballarat campus
- Leading, developing, supporting and mentoring the AHA workforce across the East campus ensuring a high standard of service provision.
- Supports the Manager AHA to enhance team building and excellence and provides a leadership role within the Grampians Health AHA leadership team and the Allied Health
Leadership team at the East Campus.
- Will be delegated, and may include activities such as representing AHAs or Allied Health in relevant forums, and acting as a delegate for the Manager AHA in their absence

- Demonstrated skills and experience in leading people, including an ability to actively develop and empower staff, maximising performance by develop high performing teams and building a positive workplace culture.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary leadership team to deliver safe consumer/focused care.
- Ability to engage and work with consumers to improve healthcare services.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain accountability and meet Key Performance Indicators.
