Domestic Airport Retail Manager

**ABOUT US** Lotte Duty Free is the second largest travel retailer in the world and operates 20 duty free stores, across 11 international airports, in seven international locations, including Australia, USA, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Thailand and Vietnam. **ABOUT THE ROLE** We are currently looking for an exceptional Retail Beauty Manger to oversee our beauty stores in the Wellington Domestic Airport. You will be overseeing the brands of MAC, Jo Malone, Estee Lauder, Clinique and Bobbi Brown. You will be tasked with creating sales and profit through the management of the beauty advisors and counter managers. We are looking for someone who is results oriented, confident and ideally has previously worked in the beauty industry before. This is a full-time role. **DUTIES** - Liaising with the Buyer beauty houses and other key stakeholders - Maintain a strong focus on the business and understand the sales trends and sales forecasts. - Analyse sales budgets in order to drive and motivate BA sales on the floor in line with established targets - Working with/coaching the BA’s & Counter Managers to maximise sales opportunities and achieve given KPI’s on a daily, weekly & monthly basis. - Provide clear communication and consistent, constructive feedback on a monthly basis to all team members as to their sales and pre-order targets as well as the action plans. Reinforce the selling skills and customer service programmes to ensure effective follow through. - Ensure each counter is sufficiently staffed at all times to maximise our sales opportunities and at same time ensure the wage costing is within the budget. - To control and minimise stock losses as well as manage wage costs in line with sales and/or budget. - To ensure timely and effective execution of products launches and promotions. - To work with the team on maintaining the housekeeping standards, visual merchandising and stock level as per guidelines on a daily basis. - Ensure all customer service and follow-up service requirements including, customer complaints, refunds, credits and repairs are handled to the customer’s satisfaction in a most urgent and timely manner. - To give feedback to the Buying and Marketing team on competitors activities (duty free and retail), customer trends and/or requests. - Identify, plan and schedule training requirements for team members and ensure full attendance. - Enforce all company standards, policies and procedures and ensure full and complete compliance by all team members. - Create and participate in team morale boosting activities and maintain a positive working relationship with other team members to ensure they feel they are treated as company "assets". - To ensure all team members are presented in accordance with Lotte Duty Free and aligned Cosmetic Brand grooming and presentation standards at all times. - Identify any behavioural, disciplinary, or possible security issues and alert the General Manager. Adhere to a strict security practice to maintain adequate protection of stock, takings and all other company assets. - To ensure all team members are aware of Airport security emergency and health and safety procedures and that areas of maintenance are addressed with the General Manager. **SKILLS & EXPERIENCE** - Strong proven successful track record in retail operations - 3-year minimum beauty experience - Experience in managerial position, managing a large team - Good business sense with good understanding of the business dynamics - Good knowledge / experience of international brands and diverse categories of products - Strong administration and numerical skills - Experience (& a love) of coaching / training people as well as a strong motivator - Exceptional customer service skills - Must be flexible with regards to working hours - Must be proactive, hands on and have a strong sense of urgency - Expert product knowledge of beauty houses as well as other cosmetics and fragrance suppliers **HOURS** This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday. However, being an airport based store, flexibility with hours is required.
