Monitoring Officer

Maxima Recruitment Services are seeking an enthusiastic individual with experience in the building trade’s environment who will assist our Group Training Consultants based in our Maxima office in Hindmarsh.

As a Monitoring Officer, your primary responsibility will be to conduct regular on-site visits to our Hosts' location to monitor the Apprentice’s progress both on the job and in regards to their formal training. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our program is running effectively while providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers,

It is a casual role on a part-time basis with the opportunity to become permanent.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan an efficient program of scheduled monitoring visits for nominated Apprentices
- Support, mentor and counsel Apprentices and their Supervisors and take appropriate action to resolve identified issues including those related to performance, conduct, training, leave and pay
- Deal with any workplace issues that arise
- Ensure the Apprentices complete their coursework
- Liaise with the relevant Registered Training Organisation regarding performance and attendance at training
- Assist Maxima Consultants to refer Apprentices to relevant support services or conduct formal performance management processes where required
- Assist Maxima’s Work Health and Safety staff to identify and assess hazards within Host Employer workplaces

**Required Qualifications/Experience**:

- A trade certificate (building trades) or significant experience in the trade's environment
- Experience evaluating and monitoring work performance
- Experience using data management systems
- Current driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Current Police clearance or willing to obtain,
- Current NDIS and Working with Children clearance or willing to obtain
