Building Commission NSW was established as the regulator of the building and construction industry in December 2023, after the NSW Government recognised the substantial progress made by the Office of the Building Commissioner and NSW Fair Trading in delivering once-in-a-generation industry reforms.

**About the Program Delivery Team**
- We play a key role in driving the transformation and delivery of the once-in-a-generation reforms, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

- We are looking for a dynamic Project Officer to join our Digital and Strategic programs team, working on updating legacy digital systems and other short-term projects.

**To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following key skills**:

- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing delivery teams and programs of work to plan, develop, deliver, monitor and evaluate a portfolio of strategic projects, to achieve project outcomes, and support achievement of organisational objectives
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management through the provision of expert advice, effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure stakeholders are engaged throughout the project and project deliverables
- Experience managing project tracking and reporting to ensure compliance and governance are adhered to
- Demonstrated experience working in a results-driven environment
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in ICT project delivery
- Advanced communication skills (written, verbal).
- Experienced in leading and overseeing all aspects of project development, implementation and closure across a portfolio pf complex projects, including preparing business cases and project plans, establishing appropriate governance, identifying, allocating and managing resources, and meeting reporting requirements, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and in line with best practice project management methodology
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and have a continuous improvement mindset
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders and customers
- You must possess a can-do attitude and be a team player
- Flexible and adaptable to an ever-changing environment

**Key challenges**
- Managing complex and sensitive consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders, within agreed timeframes, given their varying expectations, viewpoints and interests
- Responding flexibly to ensure the achievement of multiple project objectives, given limited resources and tight deadlines, and the need to identify project interdependencies and balance competing demands and priorities
