**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for documenting and embedding the Procurement Framework across the School, which has value for money at its core. This position will oversee the procurement and supply chain, and be responsible for finding and evaluating suppliers, products and services, negotiating contracts and acquiring the most cost-efficient procurement methods without compromising on quality.

**KEY RESPONSIBILTIES**
- Maintain the register of approved suppliers, ensuring new suppliers are appropriately vetted and rated;
- Manage suppliers, contractors, and consultants to ensure that goods, services, and projects are delivered in line with the agreed terms and conditions;
- Assist in obtaining quotes and raising purchase orders for approved departments;
- Coordinate procurement throughout by ensuring compliance with the Procurement Framework and Modern Slavery Statement;
- Provide support and training to internal stakeholders for the tendering, negotiation and execution of new contracts, renewals, and amendments to existing contracts;
- Assist with the management of information and documents resulting from procurements;
- Ensure contracts are maintained centrally and compliance requirements by contractors and suppliers are met;
- Other duties as requested by the Finance Manager.

**SKILLS & EXPERTISE**
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree (Bachelor of Business, Supply Chain or Logistics) or Certificate IV in Procurement, with at least 4 years procurement experience;
- High level of initiative, strategic thinking, interpersonal and negotiation skills to influence and achieve quality procurement outcomes;
- Excellent written communication skills to inform stakeholders and prepare procurement documents;
- Demonstrated self-awareness with a values-based, customer-centric and outcomes focused approach;
- Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Office Excel;
- Proficiency in data entry skills.
