Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Spatial Analyst on a contract for 12 months.

**Position Overview**

The department is seeking a Spatial Analyst to provide specialist expertise, advice and services, helping lead a team of spatial and data analysts to deliver high quality data analytics and operational support.

Essential Requirements include:

- Relevant degree level tertiary qualification in Spatial Sciences, GIS, remote sensing, Science, Natural Resources or related discipline
- Experience in GIS and spatial data management, spatial analysis and modelling techniques, system development and user support
- Experience in the automation of processes, through scripting or batch job creation, as well as the visualisation, presentation and interpretation of spatial information
- Experience in remote sensing, spatial science analytics and report writing
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders

Additional requirements include:

- Experience in Power BI
- R, Python, SQL
