You will be working with a Government Department as a Geospatial Intelligence Officer in The Workforce Data Analytics Division.
**Your new role**
As a Geospatial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the construction of the Departments geographical classifications and developing methodologies and protocols to enhance the sourcing, evaluation, processing, integration, and analysis of geospatial data. Your expertise in spatial analysis, data transformation, and cartographic outputs will contribute to the generation of derived geospatial products and analytical dashboards. This is a dynamic role where you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical expertise, and contribute to the achievement of project and program outcomes. You will be responsible for:
- Developing methodologies and protocols to improve the sourcing, evaluation, processing, integration, and analysis of geospatial data.
- Transform data into spatial formats and produce analytical dashboards with spatial formats.
- Provide expertise and technical knowledge in spatial areas across various programs or activities, delivering cartographic outputs.
- Design and develop robust workflows and automation scripts to streamline processes.
- Build and maintain expert knowledge in data analysis, data visualization, and relevant standards.
- Provide informed advice and technical expertise to guide project and program activities on geospatial and policy issues.
- Collaborate with other teams as necessary to design and implement solutions or develop spatial information products.
- Take responsibility, under limited direction, for the achievement of individual and team outcomes, monitoring progress and delivering quality results.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, actively participating in committees and forums.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered, you will need the below skills to deliver in:
- ESRI
- ArcPy
- Python
- Engage with and contribute to development of solutions to complex problems.
- Experience in working with stakeholders from various backgrounds and levels of seniority.
You must be an Australian citizen and will possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance.
**What you'll get in return**
In return you will secure a competitive hourly rate with an initial 12 month contract with a 12 month extension option.
