A **High-Profile** **Federal Government Department **is looking for an experienced a** Data Analyst/Data Scientist **to work within a multi-discipline team in Canberra. You will evaluate satellite data sets submitted by data provider organisations and contribute to a global initiative coordinated by CEOS members. The successful **Data Analyst/Data Scientist** will be offered an initial** 12 month contract** including **long-term** **extension options** partnered with a **rewarding hourly rate** and **Work from home flexibility.**

The successful** Data Analyst/Data Scientist** will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Evaluate data and metadata submitted by data provider organisations
- Facilitate discussions for review panel members on Product Assessments
- Prepare reports of the Product Assessment outcomes for communication to CEOS and data providers
- Provide technical support to the Director, Data Quality Assurance and Science to progress the global Analysis Ready Data initiative contribute to the strategic direction of the Satellite Land Imaging Collection Branch.

The successful** Data Analyst/Data Scientist** will have experience in the following:

- Demonstrated experience of working in domains involving scientific data, data quality assurance, data and/or metadata standards.
- Experience in or knowledge of satellite Earth observations, space and spatial data, and satellite data processing is highly desirable.
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams where you demonstrate collaboration, interpersonal communication and support team members.
- Familiarity with remotely sensed satellite data, associated metadata
