With a creative flair and terrific work culture, this Luxury Homewares organisation that predominantly markets and sells to major department stores Australia wide is continuing to grow and further develop its product categories. They are seeking an experienced an Account Manager to drive their endeavors to not only improve profitability but brand awareness on the back of well-established and known brands through strong sales, business development and account management skills.

This is a critical role reporting directly to the General Manager - Sales, you will be responsible for the sales performance, development, and growth of a variety of categories in major retail and independent accounts based in both Metropolitan Melbourne and Regional Victoria. This will include managing key business relationships, assist in preparation of annual business plans and developing sales strategies in conjunction with the GM - Sales, as well as managing key financial metrics such as Sales Volume, Gross Profit etc. and the analysis of key data such as insights, store data etc. Also, you will be managing and dealing directly with key external and internal stakeholders such as the Buyers, together with cross functional groups internally which include the broader Sales team, Product and Marketing, Supply Chain and Warehouse, Finance as well as key Senior Executives within the business.

Ideally tertiary qualified, you MUST have a strong sales background with similar experience in an Account Management and Sales position within the Consumer Good/FMCG or Retail Sectors managing major and/or independent retail customer groups within a Victoria geographical region. You will possess superior business development, communication, problem-solving and negotiating capabilities, together with analytical and commercial acumen. You will have come from and been exposed to high level customer service, have a high level of initiative and drive and be able to work in an environment that changes frequently. Your ability to work under pressure, manage competing interests as well as meeting deadlines in a timely manner will ensure you are a strong contender for this exceptional opportunity.
