**About the Role**:
**As the Information Officer you will**:

- Process Ministerial and Director-General documents accurately and in accordance with central office electronic records management systems.
- Search electronic and paper records for information and documents required by clients and ensure that requests are processed accurately and promptly.

The Information Officer reports to the Principal Executive Officer, Ministerial and Executive Services Unit, Office of the Director-General.Responsibilities include:

- Undertake a range of administrative tasks and records management, in a high-volume setting, to support the operational requirements of the unit.
- Respond to inquiries emanating from within, and external, to the unit in a courteous manner and within appropriate timelines.
- Liaise with officers at all levels of the department, other government agencies, educational institutions and organisations, the private sector and community representatives.
- Produce regular reports on behalf of the unit to assist in the management of executive records.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of procedures, systems and standards by providing formal and informal feedback on implementation issues and quality assurance processes.
- Assist in the preparation of responses to sensitive and confidential correspondence directed to the Minister and Director-General and process correspondence providing a high level of service and a continuous flow of work in line with departmental standards.
