**About the role**:
The Manager, Funding and Strategic Grants is responsible for leading grants management practice in the Department for Education (the department) through the development and oversight of the grants framework, policies and procedures, management systems and an advisory service to Divisions on effective grant giving.

Reporting to the Director External Relations, the Manager leads a team that supports grant management for the Minister and Chief Executive through the cycle of project identification, development, implementation and review. This includes facilitating related stakeholder consultation in designated areas.

The Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining effective relationships with a range of stakeholders including departmental staff, grant recipients and external peak bodies.

**Essential**: Nil

**Desirable**: An appropriate tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.

***Special conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**:
MAS3 $127,859 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading.
