Very rare opportunity for a motivated individual to head up an Engineering Consultancy in Victoria. You will be working with an established and reputable Perth based company that specialises in structural, civil, electrical, hydraulic, facade & mechanical engineering. The State Manager plays a pivotal role in directing and coordinating the day-to-day functions of our clients business, with a front-facing role to staff and clients; so alignment with our clients company is crucial

The role itself is newly created as our client is looking to move into the Melbourne space. Senior management is hands-on, motivated and supportive of long-term strategic perspectives which is why they are wanting to branch out into another state and assist the individual in any way they can to build this team. **What will you be doing?**
- Oversee Operations for the State - conduct audits, reviews and submit reports
- Maintain strong, positive, and long-lasting relationships with clients and other senior leaders
- Promotion of safety as a principal value
- Promote and monitor compliance with HRMS Management system for Quality, Safety and Environment alongside all company processes
- Recruitment and retention of staff; performance reviews, welfare checks, evaluating training requirements
- Identify risks and opportunities for business development
- Lead project pre-planning and post-project reviews, identifying lessons learned and implement continuous improvement

**Ideal background**:

- Significant demonstrated experience in a Project Management, Operational Lead or a Business Development role
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and priorities to achieve wider company goals
- Have advanced leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire, influence and motivate
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise at a high level and with a diverse range of stakeholders
- High level of initiative and be able set and clearly communicate business targets and expectations aligned with our clients values to your wider team
