**Oriental Merchant **is a leading importer and distributor of authentic Asian groceries with brands that are familiar throughout Asia Pacific. Our brand has a strong national and global presence.

We are looking for our next Marketing Executive to support our Asian Inspirations team based in our head office based in Mulgrave.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Proactively develop and execute marketing projects that help promote authentic Asian cuisines and its related food stories/cultures on Asian Inspirations’ platforms.
- Responsible in managing operation and execution of AI on-ground projects e.g. promotional events, roadshows, pop up stores, sampling, cooking demonstrations, sponsorships, recipe programs, online cooking event, consumer promotion etc. Includes but not limited to being rostered on duty on weekends and/or after hours, damage control, crisis management, casual staff recruitment, loyalty member recruitment & retention, loyalty programs (e.g. recruiting media influencers, organizing food writers’ trip etc.)
- Build and foster strong ties and liaison with agencies, vendors, media and industry experts, sponsors etc. including but not limited to maintaining relationship and liaison with all execution channels and networks e.g. council, schools, shopping centres, community centres etc)
- Responsible for AI culinary Hub including maintaining the activity scheduling, booking, operations, cleaning & maintenance, recipe management, photo shooting, content generations etc.
- Assist supervisor in developing marketing proposals, getting sponsor’s approval, managing the project execution, and completing post campaign reports and analysis.
- Assist supervisor in identifying and negotiating with sponsors and business partners with regards to sponsorships and marketing proposals.
- Assist supervisor in managing campaign budget and expenses, and make cost recommendations to ensure adherence to agreed budget.
- Assist supervisor in content planning, brainstorming of ideas to improve performance of AI’s digital portals such as Website, Facebook, E-newsletter etc
- Assist supervisor in managing collaborative work with chefs and foodie partners in creating authentic Asian recipes for AI marketing programs such as print advertorials, TV cooking shows, e-cooking demo etc.
- Ensure in-house resource materials are orderly and properly stored, and maintaining easy and proper access to the materials
- Jointly responsible in maintaining order and cleanliness of AI store room and multi-purpose storage room with AI operation teams
- To assist all other duties as and when required.

**What are we looking for**:

- About 1-2 years of marketing communication and/or event management experience. Experience in work related to food handling in on-ground events would be an added advantage.
- Hands on experience in planning and development of proposal for promotion, event and sponsorship, as well as implementing on-ground campaigns.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong relationship building and networking skills
- Experience in food culinary and cooking would be an added advantage.
