**The Ro**le**

The purpose of the role and your unique contribution is to lead a team providing trusted and compliant (AU or NZ legislation) advice and drive a consistent people experience to ensure our people can perform at their best in a workplace that is both safe and inclusive.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead a team of ER Specialists and ER Advisors to deliver trusted and efficient advice and support,
- Oversee the advice of ER Specialists and ER Advisors and conduct governance and due diligence checks over employee relations advice, ensuring alignment to policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
- Build capability and competence, identify development opportunities, and work in conjunction with the Manager, Employee Relations Advisory to support and address.
- Provide employee relations advice to P&C, IAG leaders and their teams on complex or escalated matters.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and act as a contact point for stakeholders on behalf of ER Specialists and ER Advisors.
- Monitor ER Specialist and ER Advisor caseloads and capacity and manage work allocation.
- Drive exceptional experiences through excellent customer service and adherence to SLAs.
- Review ER Specialist and ER Advisor case reporting and promote accurate data and reporting.
- Understand case management trends and identify and deliver proactive initiatives to address.
- Contribute to risk management including by reviewing the escalation of employee relations matters, escalating matters for further review as appropriate and supporting ER Specialists and ER Advisors to exercise sound judgment and initiative.
- Oversee the effective use of document management and HRIS systems and support the team with challenges and changes.
- Work with the ER Strategy & Service Delivery team and contribute to improvements in systems, processes, reporting and insights as required.
- Support the Employee Relations leadership team with other employee relations projects and initiatives as required.
- Awareness and compliance with the Group Delegations & Authorities Policy.

**Skills & Experience**:

- 5-8 years’ experience in an employment law or Employee Relations role.
- People management (preferred).
- ER case management and workplace investigations.
- Mediation and negotiation skills (preferred).
- Facilitation and presentation experience (preferred).
- Coaching/supporting team members to ensure ongoing development.
- Project management and continuous improvement methodologies.
