Our business and operational needs are growing, creating new and exciting opportunities at Transdev Australasia. We are currently looking for an Employee Relations Manager on a maternity leave contract for 12 months. Join our team of Journey Makers and make a real difference to improving the lives of Sydneysiders travelling on public transport.
**The Opportunity**
In this role you will manage the design, development and embedding of progressive and effective Employee Relations framework, policy, processes, systems and tools to mitigate employment risks and aligned to the broader regional People & Culture strategic objectives, along with providing functional advisory support to the Corporate and Regional offices.
**Further responsibilities include**:
- Support the Group Head of Employee Relations in partnering with Modal Chiefs, Business Unit Leaders and Modal P&C Heads to formulate and develop strategic framework, including modal / business initiatives and change management practices.
- Develop Greenfields/ Collective Agreements and Industrial Instruments where appropriate and required for existing as well as for acquired businesses, including Enterprise & Collective Agreement charters and standards along with IR/ER plans.
- Provide strategic and change-oriented inputs to optimise business workforce planning processes and drive Diversity & inclusion agenda.
- Develop reporting methods and undertake trend analysis in the specialist areas of employee and industrial relations to develop appropriate solutions, programs and policies.
- Support and contribute to content development in bids and tender submissions, including undertaking of due diligence
- Provide advocacy and support in relation to any employee relations disputes, including being an independent investigator of significant workplace issues.
- Development of an Employee and Industrial Relations Strategy and policies and statement for Transdev
- Contribute to the content development and currency of employee contracts and other relevant employee arrangements and employment instruments, including advice on redundancy and transition processes where appropriate.

**About You**
Post Grad qualifications in Business/HR or related discipline.- Tertiary qualifications in Employment Law with at least 5 years post admission experience preferred.- Experience in management role, preferably in a large multinational organisation.- Extensive experience in a unionised environment- Sound knowledge of Industrial and Employee Relations with demonstrated experience dealing with unions and leading negotiations for enterprise agreements- Experience leading large-scale cultural and business integration efforts involving culture change and overall implementation of ER/IR policies and- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and statutes, policies and procedures relative to the various types of work activities encountered. Must have strong knowledge of IR and understanding of financial and accounting implications of enterprise agreements, pay practices, and benefit plans including policy, procedures and programmes.- Deep consulting experience along with defining ER strategy or elements of ER strategy, process design and defining work plans and methods to achieve the defined ER and operational business goals.- Sound awareness and understanding of political and industrial constraints and issues affecting the business.**What we offer**
