**The Role**

As a Department Liaison Officer (DLO), you will provide support to the Minister's Office (MO) in their liaison with the department by managing the flow of information, advice and documents. DLO is the interface between the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) and the MO and will gain an insight into the development of public policy at the most senior levels.

**Key accountabilities include**:

- Communicate and implement systems and processes for briefing and other product flows, general communication, and other support between Sport and Experience Economy (SEE) and the MO.
- Facilitate the relationship between the MO and the department and coordinate briefings and correspondence for the Minister, with assistance from the Department Liaison Assistant.
- Facilitate clear, prompt and effective communication and provision of advice and maintain strong relationships between SEE and the MO, in a manner that reflects the appropriate respective roles of departmental and MO staff.
- Provide accurate, timely and practical advice and information about departmental liaison matters, including proactively identifying matters requiring attention and assisting with the management and resolution of both general and specific issues.

**The Team**

The position of Department Liaison Officer is in the Sport and Recreation Victoria branch which sits within the Sport and Experience Economy (SEE) group.

Sport and Experience Economy (SEE) group is comprised of Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV), Tourism and Events (T&E) and Outdoor Recreation and Combat Sports (ORCS).

- **Teamwork**: Cooperates and works well with others in pursuit of team goals, collaborates and shares information, shows consideration, concern and respect for others' feelings and ideas.
