We are seeking to appoint a **Payroll Officer** to join our People team. Reporting to our Group Manager Human Resources, the primary focus is to provide high quality administrative and processing support for the payroll team to ensure the efficient delivery of Payroll services within Bethanie.
- Fixed-term contract until 30 May 2025, with potential for extension (covering parental leave)
- Working full-time hours based in our Perth office (located in West Perth from January)
- Flexible working arrangements offered, including opportunity to work from home / remotely

**About the role - duties will include**:

- Assist with preparation and processing of our fortnightly payroll ensuring delivery of accurate and timely payment to staff
- Process masterfile maintenance of all payroll related transactions in the HR system
- Provide high quality and timely information and advice on all payroll related queries
- Assist with the administration of workers compensation and preparation of reimbursement requests to insurers
- Ensure payroll compliance with company policies and procedures, legislative requirements, awards and enterprise agreements

**About you**

You have a customer service focus and take pride in de-escalating and providing positive solutions. You will also bring:

- Previous experience assisting with the processing of payroll in a similar sized organisation (1500 - 2000 staff)
- Experience in a similar role in the aged care (or related) sector will be highly regarded
- Intermediate computing skills in MS Office suite and experience with computerised payroll and timekeeping systems such as chris21 or ichris and RosterOn will be highly regarded
- Good attention to detail and strong mathematical ability
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to demonstrate initiative
- Clear and concise communication skills and the ability to assist in the management of confidential data
