Maintenance Assistant

Daily tasks and responsibilities:

- Cleans warehouse floors, offices, break room, and restrooms by operating self-propelled floor scrubbing machinery, and by sweeping, mopping, spraying, and wiping. Follows departmental procedures and standards for cleanliness and performance of duties. Restocks supplies.
- Empties garbage from designated areas throughout the warehouse. Pulls merchandise slip sheets and loose cardboard from sales floor. Operates garbage compactor and cardboard baler.
- Follows safety and security procedures, such as tagging and locking off power access when working on electrical equipment, wearing safety goggles when using compactor and baler, product disposal. Responds quickly to clean up spills.
- Provides prompt and courteous member service.
- All gardening requirments, such as spraying and weeding.

Non-Essential Functions and Tasks:

- Assists with front end duties as necessary.
- Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
- Must be available to work early shift and/or late evenings.
- Must be available to work a rotating schedule which also includes weekend work.
- Must have full availability 7 days a week.
- This is a part time position with a minimum of 24 hours per week.
