**The Role**
We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to serve as the lead in managing all aspects of our expanding manufacturing operations in Perth. This role will have you be involved with the planning, co-ordination and control of manufacturing processes and the like. Reporting to the General Manager of Operations, your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
- Provide leadership and direction for the factory employees in line with the strategic business direction set by the executive committee.
- Develop engagement with key personnel to ensure broad alignment with goals.
- Provide leadership on safety, drive awareness and work closely with the site safety manager to deliver best practice safety performance.
- Provide leadership on quality and ensure that the factory activities always reflect the highest levels of product quality, best work practices and excellent outcomes with regard to quality auditing.
- Ensure compliance with all factory processes and policies with regard to work instructions, quality and safety.
- Utilise labour effectively and drive and develop lean manufacturing techniques to deliver low-cost manufacturing without compromising on quality.
- Ensure daily and weekly planning is completed and that operations scorecards effectively used to maximise business efficiency.
- Manage the site operations budget and ensure that activities reflect budget requirements.
- Understand product costing, BOMS, Routings, labour variances and recoveries and manage activities within the factory to achieve product standards.
- Responsible for Food Safety and promoting its awareness with Team Members.
- Maintaining operational documentation and records.
- Other ad hoc duties as per directed.
**The Person**
- Engineering, Business, Food Science or related Degree
- At least 3 years’ experience in a senior production or operations role.
- Strong leadership and past experience managing teams.
- Ability to develop and document Standard Operating Procedures.
- Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- High level of attention to detail
- Be able to prioritise a busy workload.
