An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and motivated individual to join the Yoorrook Justice Commission Response and Engagement Branch as Policy Officer at the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

This is a unique opportunity to work in new and innovative ways that recognise First Peoples as the self-determining drivers of Aboriginal affairs in Victoria. This role will contribute to the ground-breaking work of the Group in the areas of truth, treaty, self-determination and cultural rights.

As the Policy Officer your varied work requirements include coordination of the whole of Victorian Government response to the Yoorrook Justice Commission, analysis of complex, cross-cutting government policy issues, providing high quality briefings for the Minister for Treaty and First Peoples, the Premier and senior executives in DPC, and managing relationships management across Victorian Government organisations.

**About You**
- Demonstrated policy skills, including analysing and critically evaluating information and the potential implications and risks of proposed options, coordinating and engaging across government.
- Highly developed influence and negotiation skills, with an ability to anticipate other positions, interests and preferred options.
- Sound conceptual and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesise information from a range of sources and events, including from outside own areas of responsibility.
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities with the ability to meet deadlines while working in pressured situations.
