Principal Adviser Re-entry Housing

**The Principal Adviser Re-entry (Housing) will**:
Oversee re-entry service delivery in accordance with endorsed service models and contracts with external providers.
Ensure that contracted services are provided in accordance with relevant standards, key performance indicators, agreed outputs and program outcomes within agreed timeframes.
Lead annual service delivery planning processes with operational sites, external funding bodies and contractors (where relevant).
Ensure the development and implementation of appropriate program and performance monitoring systems.
Monitor and evaluate re-entry service delivery, including relevance to priority groups such as women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and offenders with a disability.
Lead case conferences with operational sites regarding appropriate referral to the various re-entry service components and programs.
Lead the resolution of complex service delivery issues with operational sites and contracted service providers.
Lead and participate in key projects to improve service delivery including but not limited to post release supported housing models as required.
Conduct regular site visits to support design integrity.
Promote best practice in offender re-entry utilising advanced knowledge of current trends and research.
Identify emerging trends in the offender population and broader research base regarding opportunities for new and innovative services in the re-entry area.
Adopt continuous improvement approaches to identify staff training needs to improve effective delivery of offender re-entry services.
Develop and provide staff training regarding offender re-entry services.
Provide opportunities for staff to develop their skills and ensure that support is provided in dealing with complex cases or offender groups.
Maintain own level of knowledge of contemporary offender re-entry research and practices.
Provide high level data analysis of service delivery data to ensure sound performance, including contract compliance and achievement of outcomes.
Report regularly on the performance, effectiveness and outcomes of re-entry service delivery within the Agency.
Ensure maintenance, accuracy and appropriateness of records and reports for appropriate authorities.
Prepare strategic advice, submissions and ministerial and executive correspondence ensuring accuracy and timelines are met.
Identify and develop strategies to respond appropriately to emerging risks in the re-entry service delivery system including appropriate liaison with Manager, Director, operational Directorates and sites as required.
Promote the value of re-entry service delivery and increase awareness of endorsed QCS service delivery models and objectives.
Develop and maintain collaborative internal and external relationships.
Undertake Liaison, consultation, discussion and negotiation with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective operations of the unit and the Directorate.
Collaborate with other Directorates in order to achieve strategic and operational outcomes.
Establish and maintain partnering relationships characterised by open and honest communication, with external service providers.
Represent the Agency in negotiations with other Government Agencies and key service agencies as required to ensure the achievement of Agency priorities and outcomes.
Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of work activities and practice issues impacting operations, the Directorate and the Agency.
There are no mandatory qualifications, conditions or requirements for this role, however possession of degree qualifications will be highly regarded.
