Accountable for delivering suitable processes & control regarding purchasing activities within Opal. Key focus areas would be to minimise operational costs, improve the customer experience & increase spend agility
You will contribute to the success of Opal by:
- Deliver value for the organisation through governance of purchasing activity compliance, transparency, financial control and efficiency
- Management of compliance with internal purchasing control policies and procedures with reporting & escalation as necessary of instances of non-compliance
- Online Catalogue management
- Contract price list management
- Ensure BAU purchasing activities are performed effectively and constructively to support the business to achieve their operational goals without compromising governance standards
- Analysis of data, systems, procedures, and processes to develop and implement savings initiatives across the organisation
- Work closely with key stakeholders to develop, recommend and implement procedures and processes across the business
- Drive change across the organisation to realise savings

Specifically for this role, we expect you will have;
- Experience leading and directing Procurement Operations with an eye for improvement
- Through understanding of Purchase to Pay lifecycle including compliance reporting & GST tax law
- Experience with SAP and Ariba, or transferable ERP based competency
- Excellent ability to liaise with stakeholders across the organisation and understand varied requirements
- Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a particular focus on procurement
- Excellent communication skills
