An exciting opportunity exists to join the Strategic Communication, Engagement and Protocol (SCEP) branch as Adviser, Strategic Communications.

The SCEP branch provides specialist communication and protocol advice and support to DPC and the Premier's Private Office. It leads a coordinated approach to communication policy and practice across government and advises on protocol matters and delivery of major events of state significance. It is also responsible for advising on communication and digital and social channel strategies, media, and issues management.

The Adviser, Strategic Communications has a crucial role in producing high-quality communications materials including media releases, holding lines, responses to media inquiries, communications plans, correspondence, and speeches. The role will also see you liaise with stakeholders to develop, implement, and evaluate communications strategies and plans to support government activities.

The role provides an exciting opportunity to demonstrate stakeholder management, communication and conceptual and analytical skills.

**About you**
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to develop and deliver high-quality media and communication materials.
- Sound analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Highly developed stakeholder management skills with the ability to identify key stakeholders and initiate and maintain effective working relationships.
- Demonstrated experience being resourceful and proactive in delivering communications services.
- Proven ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
