Tintern Grammar is seeking to appoint a Community Relations and Events Administrator to work within a dynamic Admissions and Marketing team. The successful applicant will report to both the Director of Admissions and the Marketing and Community Relations Manager. They will have a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service and a demonstrated ability to work within a team, as well as autonomously. They will be an outstanding administrator with demonstrated ability to multitask.
This is an autonomous role with opportunities to add visible value to the department. Key tasks will include coordinating alumni and community events and providing administration support to the Community Relations and Admissions and Marketing Departments.
To be successful in this role you will need the ability to manage and prioritise a busy area, have strong organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability and appetite to work within a team environment.
**Days and hours of work (0.7526 FTE is 28.59 hours per week)**
This role is part time and ongoing, commencing immediately.
Days of work are Monday to Thursday 9.30am - 3.30pm and Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm
**About the Role**
As a key member of our School, you will be able to plan, coordinate and execute Tintern Grammar alumni and community group events and coordinate the administrative requirements to support the work of the Alumni and Community Relations Manager with the School’s various Alumni and Community Groups. A requirement to support the Admissions area will also be expected from time to time.
**About you**
The successful applicant will:
- have demonstrated experience in a similar role
- hold Level 2 or 3 First Aid Certificate
- have evidence of event coordination
- have a background in complex data entry and analysis
- have highly developed computer skills in Excel, also with MS Office and ideally, Synergetic also
- have high level written and verbal communication skills
- have highly developed interpersonal skills
- have strong organisational and planning skills
- have a demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment
- have a strong work ethic and high level of confidentiality
- have a desire to work collaboratively and as part of the School community
- **Desirable Criteria**
- Experience with Synergetic database or similar system
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience working in a school environment are highly desirable
- Previous event experience desirable
