**How you’ll make an impact**

The EGM - Ecosystem is a senior executive role, accountable for the strategy of, and leading a large, cross functional team of product, engineering, design, marketing and partnerships, that are responsible for Xero’s developer API platform, app store, developer relations and app partner ecosystem.

You will be responsible for bringing Xero products, services and partnerships to market by overseeing the global product and services management and engineering activities for your portfolio. This will include owning the Xero Product portfolio and roadmap, the product business management process from conception to release and leadership of multi-functional global teams.

You will demonstrate vision and leadership, both externally within the developer and app partner community, and internally, as a champion for your customers, and evangelist for Xero’s platform strategy - both commercially (revenue, partnerships etc) and technically (API first, beautiful experiences).

As EGM, you will set the strategy, financial plan and operating metrics for your division, leading a high performing team with a strong culture aligned to Xero’s values. You will also represent your team with key stakeholders across the business, including product, tech and customer leadership, the Xero leadership team and board.

**What you’ll do**
- **Strategic Platform Leadership** - define and lead strategies for the functions in your business unit to ensure these meet regional and global needs and maintain a market leading service offering
- **People & Team Leadership** - coach and/or manage a number of global GMs/VPs/ Heads to be a high performing and highly engaged cohesive leadership team. Connect, lead and influence cross functional teams and stakeholders across Xero to deliver outcomes for developers, app partners and customers.
- **Product & Program Development** - executive level leadership across the product development, programs and services in your business unit, with work plans prioritised and programs to ensure the business unit realises its vision and objectives
- **Products & Services Portfolio** - leadership of creating compelling products, platform capabilities and services to the Xero offering, enabling more developers to innovate on the Xero platform and ultimately customers to manage more of their business with Xero.
- **Commercial** - end to end accountability for your division P&L including planning, forecasting, revenue and cost management. Continuously seeking new opportunities to realise direct and indirect value within your portfolio to Xero, our customers and shareholders
- **Xero API/Platform Evangelism** - senior ambassador and champion for Xero, both internally, and externally. Be the voice and champion of third party developers as a strategic customer to Xero
- **Operational Excellence**:

- ensure your leadership team and wider team delivers against strategic and financial objectives. Continuously improve your operating rhythms and processes.

**What you’ll bring with you**

**Experience**
- Proven leadership experience in large global software platform businesses at an exec or GM level
- Experience with API, developer relations, partnerships, or platform strategy
- Previous experience in leading people leaders and forming high-performing teams
- Proven track record delivering commercial product outcomes
- Proven experience collaborating with a diverse stakeholder group to realise commercial outcomes
- Solid track record of addressing customer needs through innovative use of technology and partnerships
- Proven ability to influence outcomes at all levels
- Extensive experience working with software development projects at scale
- Demonstrated experience in defining product roadmaps and planning
- P&L responsibility and management
