**About the role**:
The Senior Category Manager reports directly to Infrabuild Head of Procurement.
This role leads to all commercial aspects of all InfraBuild’s Indirect category spend.
Specifically, the purpose of the role is to source, contract and manage suppliers, identify value (both price and non-price), efficiencies, continuous improvements in cost and service, new equipment and performance reporting
The Senior Category Manager - Indirects primary responsibility is to deliver best practise commercial and procurement outcomes on the Infrabuild Indirects spend Category.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, negotiate and manage supplier contracts ensuring that maximum value is provided by suppliers
- Develop Indirects procurement strategy across including challenging the current supply network design, modal choice, utilisation, equipment, and continuous improvement programs
- Actively manage risks associated with external spend including commercial, contract, supplier dependency, financial, safety, service, and reputation
- Be the key driver of supplier relationships in Indirects and engage and co-ordinate Infrabuild people at different levels (Exec, General Managers, Branch etc) in managing relationships appropriately
- Work with critical suppliers and invest appropriate time in relationship to identify and execute strategy projects
- Contribute to the development of and Indirect digital strategy. Be the key stakeholder in coordinating input from Indirect, procurement, IT and other resources to develop and Digital and Technology Roadmap
Skills and experience:
- 7+ Years commercial experience managing relationships proven experience and understanding of Indirect
- Proven experience in delivering effective commercial outcomes, contract management
- Knowledge of Indirects category is required
- Commercial skillset with demonstrated experience in negotiating and management complex large spend contracts
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong written and presentation skills
- Ability to interact at all levels including GM and other stakeholder groups.
- A continuous improvement mindset
